Water Seminar Day & International Marine Workshop

Dr. Anastasia Sofroniou will host the first day, where local & international academics and policy makers will deliver a series of talks on water related issues concerning the island. On the second day Prof. Tarmo Soomere will organize an International Workshop towards the smart use of marine currents for environmental management.

ECF Annual Conference, in collaboration with GSD: 'Action for Climate: Beyond the Zero Sum Game'

This conference has been organised to facilitate an open dialogue on where we stand with regard to the climate issue, on the strengths and weaknesses of current climate research, and on the steps that can lead beyond the present impasse.

The conference is organised by the European Climate Forum (ECF), in conjunction with GSD.  It is prepared by a scientific committee composed of GSD partners Klaus Hasselmann and Carlo Jaeger; and  Diana Mangalagiu (University of Oxford) and Gerd Leipold (Greenpeace International).

BIG STEP - Business, Industry and Government – Science and new Technologies for Enhancing Policy

A colloborative conference, organised by GSD in conjunction with Complexity NET and ASSYST. The objective of the conference is to engage scientists, policy makers and business leaders in a dialogue about the assistance that systems thinking could offer to their decision-making processes.
